How much do you earn today? What's your job title?

Today I earn $137,000 as a Content Marketing Lead.

What's the single biggest salary jump you've made? (either from job-hopping or a promotion/raise)

My biggest jump was getting a raise at my previous job from $90,000 to $105,000 (getting me past the six figure mark), then hopping to my current job at $137,000.

What is your most valuable skill?

I have several!

  • Long-form writing for SEO
  • Branding and communications
  • My ability to be a generalist marketer vs. strictly content marketer

What's the best book you've ever read on writing, marketing, sales, business or productivity? (Feel free to suggest more than one!)

None really, non-fiction books don't hold my attention. I prefer to read articles instead.

Have you had a career mentor/coach? If so, how did you find them and what have you learned from them?

I currently have one, we're just starting the relationship.

What skills or habits help you thrive at work?

My ability to have deep communication and ask the right questions until we find iterative content solutions.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to join the $100k club?

Know your worth, show your worth, and demand your worth!

Employers are becoming increasingly invested in content and storytelling, so you need to showcase your storytelling skills upfront to show them they can't live without you!

Who are you?

I'm a white woman living in New York City, New York.
